There are two factors that determine the order of components in a kit: Group and Rank. You can use the Group field to separate the components into distinct categories with category names. Within each group, by default, components will be displayed in the alphabetical order based on their SKUs. With the Rank option in kits, you can change the order of components in their group.

How It Works
Go to a kit in the back end. Part > Part Kits > Choose Kit. From here, go to Parts In Kit.
Notice each part in the kit has a column for Group and a column for Rank.
- Click on a part and you can define its group.
- Parts with the same Group name will be grouped
together in a section. - Use the Rank column to indicate the order that
parts will appear within their group. - Higher numbers will be ordered after lower
numbers. - Click the Update Rank button to save the
ordering.
