Did You Know You Can Now Receive Inventory Alerts Regardless of Your Buyer Group’s Frequency?

At Propago, we understand that staying on top of inventory replenishment is critical to maintaining a healthy supply chain. While some reports are best reviewed on a weekly or monthly basis, knowing exactly when new stock hits the warehouse is often time-sensitive. That’s why we’ve expanded the Inventory Received report to be available for all Buyer Group report frequencies!

Previously, the “Inventory Received” report was only an option for Buyer Groups set to a “Near Real-Time” frequency. If your Buyer Group was configured for “Weekly,” “Bi-Weekly,” or “Monthly” updates, this specific report type was unavailable. Now, no matter how your Buyer Group is scheduled, you can enable Inventory Received alerts to ensure your team is notified the moment stock is replenished.

Benefits to You

  • Procurement and sales teams can act immediately once they know stock is available, regardless of their standard reporting schedule.
  • You no longer have to create a separate “Near Real-Time” Buyer Group just to get receipt alerts; you can keep all your reporting consolidated in one group.
  • Ensure the right stakeholders are informed of warehouse arrivals without manual follow-ups or constant log checking.

How It Works

It is important to note that while this report can now be added to any Buyer Group, it maintains its high-priority nature:

  • Hourly Checks: Even if your Buyer Group is set to “Weekly,” the system will still check the event logs hourly for any inventory receipts related to the parts in that group.
  • Immediate Notification: If inventory is received, the report is triggered and sent out shortly after the hourly check, rather than waiting for the end of the week or month.
  • Hybrid Scheduling: Your other reports (like Low Stock or Out of Stock summaries) will continue to adhere to your chosen frequency (Weekly, Monthly, etc.), but the Inventory Received report will act as your “Near Real-Time” scout.

In the portal UI, you will now see this option labeled as Inventory Received (Near Real Time) to remind you of this specialized behavior.
