Part keywords allow you to add search terms to parts to make them easier to find on the portal. It can be useful to add keywords that are not in a part’s description or title but might be used by an end user when searching for that item. For example, if you have a company tote bag product you can add synonyms or related words like “gear”, “duffle”, and “carry” as keywords.
Benefits to the Customer
- Add synonyms or other keywords that aren’t in a part’s title or description as keywords.
- Improve portal ease of use by making parts more searchable.
How It Works
You can add keywords by going to a part’s back end details page: Part / Parts / Select a Part. The Keywords field is just below Proofing Comments.
To add multiple keywords, just separate each keyword with a comma. This can be done with or without spaces:
- duffle,carry,gear
or
- duffle, carry, gear
