Image upload variables can be given the setting “Black & White.” When this setting is turned on, any image a user uploads for this variable while proofing will be converted to black & white by reducing its saturation to zero.
Benefits to the Client
- Allow users to upload images when proofing while
ensuring the order is in black & white
How It Works
You can set an image upload variable to convert uploaded images to black & white by going to the variable’s soft proof project in the back end. Go to Proofing > Soft Proof Projects and select the soft proof project.
Under the Type section of the image upload variable you’ll find a checkbox labeled “Black & White.” Checking this box will cause the system to convert any image that a user submits for this variable during proofing to black & white by reducing the saturation of the image to zero.
