We have expanded the country restriction capabilities within your portal settings. Previously, you had the ability to limit which countries were available for shipping destinations. We have now introduced a corresponding setting that allows you to restrict Billing Countries as well.
This new feature gives you independent control over both address types. For example, you can now configure a portal to allow shipping globally while restricting billing addresses to only the United States and Canada.
These settings ensure that when a user reaches the checkout page, the “Country” dropdown menu in the billing section only displays the specific locations you have approved, preventing data entry errors and ensuring compliance with your client’s business rules.

How It Works
To configure country restrictions for a portal:
- In the back end, navigate to Portals and select the customer.
- Go to Settings.
- Locate the settings for Allowed Shipping Countries and Allowed Billing Countries.
- By default, All Countries is selected, meaning no restrictions are applied.
- To restrict the list, click the dropdown to see the available options (United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, and Canada).
- Check the boxes for the specific countries you want to allow.
- Note: These are multi-select menus. You can select as many countries as needed (e.g., United States and Canada).
- If you select specific countries, the “All Countries” box will automatically uncheck. Conversely, if you check “All Countries,” your specific selections will be cleared.
- Click Save.
Once saved, the checkout forms on the storefront will immediately reflect these changes, preventing users from manually entering or selecting addresses from countries that are not in your allowed list.
